Trades Persons

Alpha Contractor, like all construction contracting companies, is seeking good building trade candidates to employ. Ideal building trade employees possess a passion for working with their hands, understand the importance of teamwork, dedication, integrity, good hard work ethic, self-motivation and take pride in their work. Must be willing to work outside/inside year-round, desire to learn more, makes sound choices, and work efficiently and well with others. Having transportation and a valid driver’s license are essential as well.

Here are descriptions of the categories of career opportunities for the trades.

General labor: candidates are fast learners, hardworking, able to follow instructions and may require direct supervision. They have an ambition to be a Carpenter, Electrician, HVAC, Plumber, Mason/Bricklayer and Heavy Equipment Operator.

Qualified Carpenters: have over 5-10 yrs experience in framing, roofing, installation of drywall, siding, doors, windows, interior trim, cabinets and blueprint reading. They do not require direct supervision and are time efficient. Some have ambitions to become a foreman.

Foreman: position requires 20+ yrs carpentry experience, good communication, organizational and leadership skills. Leader of people, time efficient, laser focused on tasks at hand, patience and ability to teach others. Ambition to become a subcontractor. 

Mason/Bricklayers: have obtained over 5-10 yrs experience in poured concrete, footings, walls, floors, driveways and sidewalks.

Heavy Equipment Operations: require over 5-10 yrs experience in operating forklifts, skid steers, backhoes, dump trucks, cranes, etc.
